staging an investigation

My housemates are right about many things.... On the issue of fishnets, however, I cannot agree. I am of the opinion that, worn right, they can be both classy and sexy. B only wears them on Halloween, while K refuses to wear them at all because they are trashy and for hookers ("prostitutes wear them").

What's the verdict folks? Fishnets: classy, sexy, attractive, hideous, trashy or hooker-esque?

My friend once wore fishnets to a wedding! ...I wore a 50's housewife dress. :D

you know, i think my overall opinion would be that they should only be worn sparingly; they can be sexy, but a woman who wore them in high rotation, well, i dont think i would like it. When worn, a garter belt is DEFINITELY manditory. If you are going to lose the natural sexiness of a woman's leg, you need to add a higher level of unnatural sexiness. It's a garter belt or latex body-suit, your pick.

You said I have to comment, but I am afraid to since I am going to sleep and you are in my aparment and I think if I am too vocal you might strangle me with fishnets or write "I'm with the band" on my forehead with marker... and I just can't have that during placement.

I think the wearing of fishnets can go many ways. For example I have in my possession some bright red fishnet stockings and they are definately not classy in the least. However, I do feel that fishnets can be classy if paired with the right outfit. The downside to this is that most people do not have the fantastic good looks and fashion sense possessed by the Erickla and myself that is required to pull of the wearing of fishnets in a non-hookerish way.

you don't exactly have to go to a hooker's outfitter to get 'em these days...i like it.

the number of styles available on this ostensibly classy on-line store seem to indicate that no, fishnets are not just for hookers anymore.

the world rejoices.
